Welcome to the James Buss State Farm Insurance office of Lake Butler, Florida. We are YOUR home-town insurance agency with a highly trained team of locals that will always put our customers first. James is a family man with 4 amazing kids who loves to get involved in local outreach and give back to the community. In his spare time, he enjoys working with his horses, taking the crew on adventures and volunteering with his family.

The James Buss Insurance office was established in Fleming Island, FL in clay county in 2018. In 2023 James decided it was time to get back to his original roots and moved his insurance office to the beautiful Lakeside Park of Lake Butler in Union County, Florida where he married his beautiful bride in 2010 and brought home his first of four children in 2011. He and his sons worked together remodeling the former restaurant at the Lake and turned it into a beautiful office space where customers can stop in for a cup of coffee and a beautiful, peaceful view of Lake Butler.

We proudly serve customers all across the state of Florida though many of our customers live in Lake Butler, Starke, Keystone, Hampton, Raiford, Providence, Gainesville, Lake City, Liveoak, Jacksonville, Fleming Island, Orange Park, and Middleburg. As a family man, James believes in putting the herd first and that has served him well. With what has been dubbed the coolest location of any State Farm office ever, the new location in Lake Butler is humming with activity and smiles all around. As the Buss Team has grown so has the love for each other and the community we serve. James, as the agent has sought out the absolute greatest for the agency. The Buss Team has flourished and become stronger than ever. Amanda James wife has been in the trenches since the very beginning and this year they will celebrate 15 years of marriage. Ironically, they were married across from the new office in Lake Butler. Amanda is the glue that keeps us all rolling int he right direction. In the office we also have our Rock star office manager Ricky Norman! He is committed to helping people manage risks and recover from the unexpected. Deanna, our newest team member is very helpful to everyone and that can-do attitude our customers deserve. Our newest addition Christina brings experience to the table with an overwhelming sense of accomplishments.
